Mike McKeown races around end for one of Hayes' touchdowns against Brooklyn Prep. Wagga I2 guailga ?u46 79 An eager, loyal crowd traveled to Brooklyn for the opening game of the season but was disappointed at the outcome. The teams were evenly matched, but too many fumbles cost the Cardinals the game. A swift pass from Gagliano to Wright and an end-run by McKeown re- sulted in the two Hayes tallies. The fans were not disheartened, though, and looked forward to better things. W4Q646 Sz! A spirited team, determined to make up for the previous week's defeat, took to the field against an old rival. Cacciopoli's plunging through right guard was the backbone of the Hayes offensive. The Prep took to the air in the second half but failed to click, Gagliano in- terfered with four of their passes.
