.l Q . 5 4-.. Brother Wright supervises the activity of some of the members of the Chemistry Club, including Joseph Colletti, Frank Pace, Clarence Smallwood, and Joseph Castellano. The Chemistry Club, through its affiliation with the Science Clubs of America and the Science Service in Washington, offers its mem- bers up-to-date information on the important happenings in science and chances for further advancement in the subject. Interest is cen- tered on individual projects which help to de- velop particular talents. By going on field trips to Cold Spring Harbor and the State Fish Hatch- eries, these students are able to make a more extensive study of animal and vegetable life than the classroom pursuit of the subject per- mits. lnterest is keen at weekly meetings at which informative movies are shown. , The Physics Club strives to supplement the regular class- room work in the subject. The experimental laboratory and the movies which are shown at the weekly meetings stimulate the interest and the activity of the members. Brother Cormac, the moderator, is constantly presenting the latest trends in scien- tific progress so that the members, like true scientists, may keep apace with the times.
