The members of this society, the Knights as they are popularly called, embrace almost the entire student body. They pledge themselves on their word of honor to receive Holy Communion once a week and to do all in their power to spread devotion ' to the Blessed Sacrament. There are no meetings for the majority of K. B. S. members. Theirs is an individual service which they render to Christ in His war against the forces of evil. Meetings are held only for the class prefects who direct of W the activities for their classes. The K. B. S. sponsors such activities as the serving of Mass and Benediction, the monthly Holy Hour in which the whole 3 school participates and prays especially for the Alumni, the Guard of Honor on Holy Thursday, the Stations of the Cross in Lent and the daily Dialogue Mass which a different class at- tends each day in the chapel. Together with the Catholic Stu- dents' Mission Crusade, the K. B. S. presents an annual sym- posium on a timely topic at which they play host to the other Catholic high schools of the city. lO5
