BRUTHER THUMA PATRICK UELEBRATES J BILEE ON February l Brother Thomas Patrick commemorated the completion of twenty-five years as a Xaverian Brother. Mass was said by Monsignor Waterson on that morning in the chapel of the Brothers' residence, and later in the day the jubilarian was feted at a dinner in the school cafeteria which was attended by his family, friends and members of the administration. Brother Thomas attended grammar schools in Newark, New Jersey, and then went to Old Point Comfort College in Ft. Monroe, Virginia. After taking collegiate work at Catholic University he completed his studies at Columbia. The head of the Spanish Department, Brother has been at Hayes since it opened seven years ago. Before coming here he taught at Xaverian schools in Peabody and Worcester, Utica, and Baltimore. Several of his former students are now members of the Hayes faculty. We are proud to know Brother Thomas Patrick. He has been a good friend and teacher. In his jubilee year we salute him and pray that God will grant him many more years of fruitful service.
