5 fl T gfleffzzkfw HROUGH its affiliation with the Science Clubs of America and the Science Service in Washington, this club offers its members up-to-date information on the important hap- penings in science and chances for further schooling and ad- vancement in the subject. Meetings are held every Wednes- day in the Chemistry Laboratory under the direction of Fa- ther Green who is assisted by Brother Wright. At present a contest is being held among the members in which an award will be made for the best project. EEKLY meetings and frequent field trips to places of interest un- der the guidance of Brother Denis enable the members of this club to enjoy a more intensive study of Biology. This year they visited the Boyce Thompson Plant Research Bureau, the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery and the Genetic Research Bureau where they gained a first hand view of some of the practical uses of the science. With their mod- erator, Brother Martinian, the members hold weekly meetings at which lec- tures and movies stimulate their interest. Frequently Brother Lucas instructs them in the construction and repair of radios. l22
