Under lhe able leadership of Alice lwamolo, Mela Kamper, and Chisalo Nakano during The lirsl semesler oi lhe school year lhis year's aim began lo be realized and numerous channels ol fall and winler sporfs were opened lor girls. The second semesler ollicers, Elaine l-leck, Virginia Corselli and Frieda l-lrienson picked up lhe lhreads where lhey had been broken olii and carried ihe program forward lor The remaining parl ol lhe year. To lhe mosr oulslanding girl alhlele in bolh scholarship and compelilive sporls a gold medal was awarded. The girls' inlramurals were handled under 'rhe direclion oi lhis club and many iine learns in volley ball, baskerball, skaling, checkers, horseshoes, Track, and archery appeared. Summerhays Bernardi Jewlces Guymon Boys' League STarTing wiTh Their TirsT birThday, The Boys' League opened a very successTul and ioyous new school year. The TirsT meeTing was held wiTh an inTroducTion OT The new TaculTy members To Freshman Boys. Tallcs Trom each oT The TaculTy men were enjoyed by The boys. As The year progressed, each meeTing became more inTeresTing. The Boys' League and The Girls' League exchanged programs wiTh each oTher, The boys Tavor- ing The girls wiTh a real hero-heroine-villain melodrama.
