night and spaghetti feed, Days of Wine and Roses, to increase the funds in our treasury. A memorable year for us was 1963 as our football team went undefeated in league play. As we ordered gradua- tion announcements near the close of football season, the thrill and expectation were overshadowed by the untimely death of our beloved president, John F. Kennedy. As a memorial, we dedicated our final two football games to him, and in a touching tribute, our football field was named Kennedy Field, no longer Capuchino Field, Under the leadership of class officers Randy Beale, presi- dent, Moonyeen Webb, vice-president, Stephanie Gonzales, secretary, and Nancy Hanschen, treasurer, we held our final 1 fclass-spo,nsored sock hop, Son of '64 Stomps Some More! Then the excitement of our Senior Ball began to grow as 6 money was saved and plans made for the once-in-a-life- time event. Finally on February, 1, 1964, at the Villa Chartier, the Class of '64 held its Senior Ball, Candlelight 4 and Gold. Dancing to the music of Don Carle, we realized that this was our last formal event as Capites. Fun was fenioyedrby all as we laughed at the Off-Keys, a sing- ing group featuring our own Mr. Drake. As the evening drew to a delightful close, we knew we would treasure always the memory of our Senior Ball. As spring came and June drew near, most of us developed acute cases of that familiar disease, Senioritis. An exag- gerated epidemic flared when we all came down with it on Senior Cut Day. After reporting to school for a few hours of fun, we iourneyed to the neighboring beaches and lakes for a sort of paid holiday. But every day marked the closer approach of graduation. The halls took on a glow never before seen as they became landmarks to sentimental seniors. Finally on .lune 11, 1964, our class graduated on Kennedy Field amid tears and sadness as we sang, for the last time, Hail Green and Gold. The finale to our years at Cap was Grad Night, held at the Thunderbird Hotel. Despite the sadness of leaving, we all enioyed the great event as friendships became even stronger and memories of the past were revived. With the rising sun we emerged mature and confident graduates of Capuchino, never to forget its influence on our lives. The final year has gone by. No more shall we see Cap's golden halls thronged with students. No more shall we feel the excitement spreading through the stands as our team wins again. No more shall we be a vital part of Cap. The parting is difficult, but we can look back to many fond memories belonging only to the CLASS OF 1964. 13

Owul The Class of '64 entered Cap in the fall of 1960 as the largest class in Cap's history, As freshmen, we were swept into the everyday life of Cap, experiencing pride and glory as our band went to the Capital to march in President Kennedy's inauguration. Lifelong friendships were made as we held our first fun-night and box social, organized by class officers Bill Giachino, president, Mary Fox, vice-presi- dent, Vicki Musgrave, secretary, and Mary Bauguess, treas- urer. Tradition was upheld as we decorated the Christmas tree in the cafeteria. Another class proiect was a food drive for the needy. Outstanding in our memories as freshmen is the Stanford Basketball Tournament in which we played after becoming PL Champs. Also champions at Stanford, our team returned to Cap as recipients of our great pride and ioy. Our sophomore year, 1961-1962, began with a wonderful feeling that we were no longer freshmen. Led by officers Bill Giachino, president, Moonyeen Webb, vice-president, Carla Olinger, secretary, and Bob Bybee, treasurer, our fun-night in September was a big success, as was our first class-sponsored sock hop, Twelfth Twist. As basketball season drew to a close and our 30's team again was the league champion, we gained possession of the Peninsula League 30's title. After having won that title every year for the past six, winning it again in the league's last year kept the PL crown forever at Capuchino, as the newly formed Mid-Peninsula League took over made up of schools only from our district. l .N ...' As iuniors, and finally upperclassmen, we received our class rings in October, '62, With our class stature growing, we challenged the seniors in competition yelling and were victorious. We remember when Dick Stewart from KPIX-TV came to our campus, took some films, and paid tribute to Capuchino on his show, many of us becoming TV cele- brities. Under the guidance of class officers Ken Muscat, president, Randy Beale, vice-president, Linda Sumners, secretary, and Linda D'Aoust, treasurer, our second successful sock hop, '64 Stomps Some More, paved the way to a glorious iunior prom. As April 20, 1963, drew near, the scurry for dinner jackets, corsages, bouttonieres, and hair appoint- ments became an everyday occurrence. Finally the day arrived. That night, not very promising due to the rain and mud, but, nevertheless, full of excitement, we held our Prom, Tahitian Twilight. Memories linger of pineapples taken and cut open on the tables, sticky fingers, palm trees, laughter, and, as always, a wonderful time. This year, our senior year, brought to us the esteem of being the largest graduating class in Cap's history. Joining us as foreign exchange students were Georg Wille, from Switzerland, and Barbara Wangerin, from Germany. As senior pictures were becoming a reality, we held a fun-
