English Is Invaluable Captain Shreve had excellent English teachers this year for all grades, freshman through senior. Since having proper grammar and usage was stressed at Shreve, students received a good background in this area which was valuable. The Library — A Place to Study The library at Shreve provided a good at- mostphere for studying, reading, and doing research. The helpful librarians worked to make the library a useful place for students. Along with a complete selection of books on all subjects, the library had magazines, encyclopedias, vertical files, newspapers, and information on microfiche.
