7'Ga lluses Presented as I 978 Musical: Mr. Rock Chosen The western melodrama A Stretch at the Galluses was this year's musical produced by Mr. Jerome McDonough. Members of the cast were cho- sen from the student body. Inter- ested students tried out for parts and selection was based on abil- ity. Leading cast members were Diana Holeman, Ricky Moulder, Tim Thomas, Terry Daniels, Tonja Vandagrift, Kris White, Tina Ben- nett, Pete Hagan, Alan Greer, Larry Mayes and Paul Ortega. Dancing girls were Charis White, Allison Foust, Laura Moulder, Crystal Sutton, Karla Howard, Cindy Rouk and Kristy Melton. Saloon girls were Charla Driver, Shelba Jones, Karen Knapp, Brenda Green, Sheryl Warden, Lynn Eckbledt, Virginia Magallanes, Judy Jordan, Vera Waddell and Kim Kelley. Saddle tramps and cowpokes were George Yancey, Lee Perse- field, Gil Nickolson, Jim Webb, David Provence, Mike Cline, John Daniels, Tim Purviance, and Dwain Walker. Karen Jones and Molly Darden provided instrumental music for the performance. The second annual Mr. Rock contest sponsored by Hi-Y was held Jan. 25. It was highlighted by the special appearance of the Klutz Kazoo Symphony Orchestra. Charles Mixon was named Mr. Rock. First runner-up was Tim Thomas and second runner-up was Alvin Raef. Alan Gree received the title of Mr. Nurd. CU Mr. Rock contestants. C23 Tina Bennett, Diana Deputy, Becky Gerken. Q35 Becky Gerken av ards Charles Mixon as Mixon's subjects bow.
