COMMANDING OFFICER CDR T. S. O ' KEEFE JR. CDR O ' Keefe graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1966. He has served as Missile and Fire Control Officer aboard USS William V. Pratt (DLG-13), Officer in Charge of a PFC while assigned to Commander, Coastal Squadron ONE in the Republic of Vietnam, Engineering Officer of the USS Trippe (DE-1075), Commanding Officer of USS Exultant (MSO)-441) and Executive Officer of USS Moinester (FF-1097). CDR O ' Keefe ' s shore assignments include advisor to the Iranian Navy and duty at Surface Warfare Officer ' s School Command. He is a graduate of the Naval War College and holds an MS in Physical Oceanography from the University of Miami. CDR O ' Keefe wears the Bronze Star and Navy Achievement Medals. He is married to the former Margaret Moore of Newton, Massachusetts.

f CAPODANNO: THE SHIP USS CAPODANNO is a Knox Class Frigate equipped with a bow mounted and variable depth sonars as well as a passive towed-array detection device capable of detecting submarines at extended ranges and depths. The ship ' s arsenal is afforded great versatility by her homing torpedoes and ASROC (Anti-Submarine Rockets). In addition to her anti-submarine warfare capabilities, the ship is equipped with the Harpoon Surface Missile System, a 5 54 caliber rapid fire gun which provides the capability for Shore- Bombardment, Anti-Air and Anti-Surface Defense and a Close In Weapons System (CIWS) for Anti Missile Defense.

E X O E F C F U I T C I E V R E LCDR COLIN L. MAR TIN A native of South Dakota, LCDR Martin graduated from Kansas University with a BA degree in English and was commis- sioned through the NROTC Program in 1 972. He served at sea as Operations Officer and Diving Officer aboard USS Edenton (ATS-1), Engineering Officer of USS Garcia (FF-1040), and as First Lieutenant on USS Mount Baker (AE-34). He served as Executive Officer, USS Capodanno (FF-1093) for nearly 26 months detaching in June 1986. LCDR Martin ' s shore assign- ments include aide-de-camp to the Commandant, Armed Forces Staff College, and Management Division Officer, Surface Warfare School. He received the Joint Services Commendation, Navy Commendation, and Navy Achievement Medals. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Human Development-Management from Salve Regina College. LCDR Martin is married to the former Kathryn Jean Ruehlen of Lawrence, Kansas.
