We have seven troops here at Soquel including Brownies, Intermediates, and for the first time, a Senior Scout Troop. Mrs. P. Myers' Brownie Troop number 44 of the second grade has worked on several projects. They have made purses and have drawn pictures of Brownie activities. ' Mrs. A. Parsons' and Mrs. G. Walters' grade has made scrap books on local events Indians, and several service projects were Mrs. Ross Brownie Troop number 29 of cloth belts, and invitations for a Brownie Brownie Troop number 38 of the third in history dating back to the done during the holidays. the fourth grade has been making Mothers' Day Party. Mrs. V. S1eath's Scout Troop number 65 of the fifth grade has been learnin to be better citizens of their country and a few badges. Mrs. Harrison's Scout Troop number 52 community. They have earned quite of the sixth grade made mats and napkins to match. They also have been working on quite a few badges. q Mrs. A. Manildi's Scout Troop number 54 of the seventh grade has been work ing on songs and badges. They had a picnic at China Beach. . Mrs. H. Ledgerwood's Senior Scout Troop number 12 took a trip to San Francisco and visited the park and museum. All members of the troop took part in the fashion show at the Womens Club inllaxch. Their prpject is sewingg they made skirts and several other things. A beginners group of swimmers has been taking instructions at the Santa Cruz plungeg an advanced group will go later. We had a Court of Awards in the Civic Auditorium in Santa Cruz where they presented the First Class rank, and the highest rank in Scouting--the Curved Bar. Joan Brown
