Semrod 24 Past Relived, Present Interpreted By Students of Social Sciences What tactors brought about the Freedom movement in America? What con- ditions caused the tall ot the Roman Empire? These and many other questions are heard throughout the day by students in the American and World l-listory department. These classes constitute the largest division in the social studies department. Psychology and economics complete the range ot suloiect matter covered by the department. Students who are enrolled in these classes tind themselves learning about the past as well as the present. Further studies are made in how to cope with problems which may arise in the tuture. History is in the malcing every minute ot the day.
