AMBASSADOR 77 CAPITOL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 610 LARGO ROAD UPPER MARLBORO MARYLAND 20870 The Lord showed Capitol Baptist Church the great need for Christian education. Cap¬ itol Christian Academy opened its doors in September of 1961 with 67 students ranging from grades 1-6. Grades 7-11 were added steadily through the next few years and in June 1970 C.C.A. granted diplomas to its first graduating class. With I he help of many able workers, new classrooms have been dded to accommodate this increase. These additions in¬ dude a gym, business room, band practice rooms, elemen- ary classrooms and a well equipped stage. i 7 1 ’ -1 pp ' j I w S : r .j 1 ftM • vfy V- v° -T V X X V ‘ ft ‘.V 3 V 4 V O ' V v,; ' V c,b X V w y ■X V v t I ►v VM ir: xv c C « v y n ' A gym for C.C.A. has just been wishful thinking since the beginning of our first basketball team in the 1969-70 season. In the spring of 1973 C.C.A. moved to Largo and on the flo or plan of the new building between the wings were two words that caused anticipation in everyone — “FUTURE GYMNASIUM”. Dur¬ ing these last few years we have all prayed and worked hard to make our gym a reality. Finally in June 1976 the construction began and the gym was completed in May 1977. k i ■ I The administration, faculty and student body of Capitol Christian Academy would like to express their warmest gratitude to someone very special to all of us. She has served our school for five years and keeps on top of everything. She works very diligently but always finds time to help with the little things we need; from answering our numerous questions to bringing us a forgotten lunch or important message. Without her, things around here would not move very smoothly, if at all. Her love for the Lord is shown through her dedication to His work. Her testimony to us is one of hard work, patience and service. In gratitude for her faithful “service with a smile,” we are dedicating the 1977 Ambassador to Mrs. Jaunez Cheek “Not slothful in business, fervent in Spirit, serving the Lord.” Mrs. Elsie Cooper Mrs. Juanez Cheek Mrs. Charlene O’Toole Church Secretary School Secreta Bookkeeper Mary Holt Mrs. Blazer Nurse, Bookkeeping, Office Help Librarian Rev.
