IN ME MORI AM I Corinthians 15:51-57 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be rised in¬ corruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin: and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the vie - tory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Michael Lake 1958-1971 Death, to most people in the world, is something to be dreaded, feared, and avoided as long as possible. It seems especially cruel when it takes the life of one who is young. However, isn ' t is wonderful that we as Christians can accept death without fear and can even welcome it, having the promise of that life which is to come. We continually look forward, as Michael did, to Christ ' s return, but what a blessed as¬ surance to know that if we die we shall go to be with Him in glory. 4
