A worthy title indeed, for Jack has always been .1 favorite of his own class-mates as well as the under-classmen. Evidence of his popularity is the many real friends he has won in hisf our years at C. C. Class '45 has had confidence in his leadership since the first year of high school when jack was elected class president. Interested in sports and possessing his own degree of skill, Jack has for several years been a track star. A member of the Music Department, he has taken part in the Spring Musicales, Handsome, but unassuming, Jack possesses a genial manner and soft-spoken voice. The attributes of a gentleman are readily recognized in all his deeds. These are only a few of the noble qualities which have prompted us to elect jack Down for King of the Shamrock. M. A. H. j. C.

JEAN GANNON Called by any other name, jenn Gannon would still be Queen of the Class of '43, Through her graciousness and unceasing good will, lovable jean has won her place in the hearts of the entire student body. Her delightful personality has instilled among us a spirit of good fellowship and fair play. Whcv else but jean Gannon would we choose to represent our class? jean has a heart which far outweighs her diminutive self, and a lovely soprano voice which has sung for us many a cheery note. Her adorable smile is a welcome greeting to everyone, and her enthusiasm as a cheer leader has aided in leading the Wildcats on to Victory. Yes, Jean, you are our choice, and proud we are to acclaim you, Queen of the Shamrock. J. c. M. A, H, El-IHl'lRlJlIK I'ug9-Fifly
