Rushing between classes to grab some food from the snack bar or the cafete- ria can become hectic after a few weeks, let alone a w hole semester. Yet stu- dents fight against time to eat and relax a minute before returning to the classroom. Complaints have been vocalized by many students regarding Saga’s service and food. However, with the advent of the one dinner when beer was served to students, students began to realize the desire of Saga to meet students’ wishes. A curious array of student expressions reveal some interesting thoughts about what is on the students minds if anything.

Signs ... of student destruction Capital has been hit again by another year of heavy losses due to vandalism. Not many would dare to recall such an unpleasant thought, but nonetheless the truth must be said. Student carelessness in using bicy- cles. hallways, and facilities for recreation in Schaaf Hall have resulted in a scarred campus. The signs are plain and very self-evi- dent. Walking to the Cam- pus Center, one can see lights which were vandal- ized. Machines in the dor- mitories offering food, have been struck. The very sign of student destruction may in itself be a reflection of another sign student ir- responsibility and student immaturity. 6

Capital students still find time in their busy schedules to buckle down to the academics of University living. The classroom, lounges, even the great outdoors provide ample ways of accomplishing the tasks of meeting course requirements. Many students give the impression that college life is just social gatherings and parties. Really, that image has departed many years ago. Sure, social life is enhanced by attending an University. However, the first concern for many, many students is the studying which is necessary in developing a proficiency in their particular area of study. This may take different students different times in meeting their obligations. Some rela- tively short periods will suffice, others may take consid- erably more time and research. With the adoption of the new curriculum for next year students, greater flexibility and greater personal interest can be taken by each and every student if he chooses the Bachelor of General Studies degree.
