AT LEAST THEY HAD A HORSE AND Capital's home grounds have really grown since over a century ago, v hen the school was first started. Why, even a mere hand- ful of years ago, as time flies, our fathers were borrowing watermelons from one of the neighboring farms. Then, Cap was really in the country; for jokes, livestock v as bought on campus. This was not at all unusual then, but wouldn't you be surprised to see a bewildered cow meandering up center walk nowadays? ' The Cap family then was also very patri- archal; in fact, the idea of women attend- ing the college before 1919 was unheard of. Before then, anything went on (and off) the record—in a brotherly way, of course. Yes, at least they had a horse and buggy. Pago Four
