At registration, members filled out applica- tions for Pep Club, and were required to achieve a certain amount of points to earn a letter. Debate: isputing the Arguments There were already 16 dehaters, and thesejuniors and Seniors gladly welcomed the new 18 novice debaters. The first debate tournament of the year, MIT, is a tournament for only experienced dehaters. This was held at Capitaljason Oben- shain and Mike Baldner placed second in the tournament. Ileather Gates, and Lisa Blaghurn, 62 Delmte Capital went with 8 novice teams, all of which knew nothing about what to do, but the tourna- ment provided experience for those who needed it, and all the teams seemed to do well.
