Cross Country Number one for the league. The boys were unde- feated this season in league competition and fin- ished 9th at districts. Craig Lind and Tim Camp- bell qualified for a seat in the state competition finishing 34th and 51st, respectfully. Lind was first among the Southwest Washington runnersg and this was Tim Campbell's fourth year as a par- ticipant at the state meet. The girls' team led by Jean Brisbane, Kiki Wei- gand and Stephanie Schoch placed 4th in the dis- trict meet held in Kelso. Tim Campbell broke the Capital High cross coun- try course record with a new time of 14.42 min- utes, 4 seconds under the old record. This relatively young team looks forward to future seasons of new wins and broken records.
