CLASS PROPHECY It is customary for the class prophet to consult some one who can unveil the future and foretell the destiny of eaoh member of the Senior Class. Thus, I sought a Sorcerer. I begged him for a sight in the future. I fell asleep as usual in my history class and made my first visit in futurity. A vapor arose as I entered the kingdom. I was introduced to Zarina’s sons and daughters. As we walked and talked,the vapor seemed to curl until I made out these words 1952 Graduates, Capeville Consolidated in Year 1977. Imagine my surprise, when I saw a man being crowned as the World’s Light Weight Champion. Coming closer, I found that person to be Clarence Ballard. The scene suddenly changed and I found myself in a small town with a population of 2500 or more. There I read this sign - Thomas Ames Sons, professional Barbers. Eyvind Harris is now a famous doctor. Christine Doggett is head nurse. Martha Williams is receiving her Ph.D. after 15 years of teaohing. Rosa Mack is headmistress of a Migrant School. Yea, Fran ces Thompson has an established Nurses Agency. The following girls are among her staff; Mary Custis, Irene Brisco, Barbara Spruiel, Mary E. Weeks, Gardenia Morris, Mattie Dixon and Gertrude Marshall. Linwood Waters Married soon after finishing College and began his work as head coach at Northampton High. It is the talk of the Medical World now that Drs. Timothy Stratton and and Theodore Harris have discovered a new drug that absolutely cures gout in nine days. Floating around in space as undecided about life as they were in dear old Capeville, I found William Church, Alvin Wilson, Laurence Johnson, Alvin Robinson, and Frank Spady. Then the vapor began to vanish and I thought I could hear the beating of a drum. I realized suddenly that it was not a drum at all, but my hand and Mr. Allen was tapping it vigorously with his pencil and protesting against any one going to sleep in his class. CLASS WILL CAPEVILLE, VIRGINIA June 6, 1952 We the Senior Class of 1952, considering ourselves thoroughly drilled in all of the Elementary subjects, knowing that we are the liveliest and possibly the sweetest class to enter or leave our dear school, wish to our last will and testament to be executed in order that follows: I To our principal, Mr. C. E. Arnold, for helpful understanding, we leave our gratitude. II II To Mr. G. T. Allen, we leave our appreciation for the help he gave us during our Senior year. III To Mrs. E. S. Helm, we leave our hope for better Language Pupils. IV To Mrs. C. A. Pitchett, we gladly leave our alarm clock. V To all the teachers, we leave a pleasant memory of our association here. VI To the sixth grade we leave rooms one and four with our best wishes. VII Tim Stratton leaves his ability to read to Warden Nottingham. VIII Earnest Cox leaves his musical ability to Henderson Rowley. II William Church leaves his leadership to Quinton Nottingham. X Margaretta Bailey leaves her ladyship to Jean Wilson.
