ACTIVITIES .1,..,...., ac.- Frrst row I Small W Wheeler C Kxlby N Dmsmore G Reynolds Second row I Hewey W Iewett W Drake H Hanscom L Webber STUDENT COUNCIL The hrst meetlng of the newly-elected Student Councrl was held on Octo ber 1 1945 rn the school lrbrary Offrcers were elected as follows Charles Krlby pres1dent Nancy Dmsmore secretary Ianet Small treas urer Mr Stuart faculty advrsor The f1rst problem brought up before the councrl was the mrsconduct 1n the Colonlal Room After clos1ng the Colonral Room for a short penod rt was re- opened w1th the wamxng that 1t would be closed permanently 1f foolrng didnt stop A few of the major accomplrshments of the Councrl are An electnc scoreboard was ordered, but delrvery hasn't yet been made, due to wartrme restnchons The ampllfymg equrpment was reparred and IS now rn excellent cond1t1on The comb1nat1on radro and vrctrola 1n the Colonral Room was sent out for badly needed reparrs A Coca Cola mach1ne was rnstalled at the boys' entrance to the cafetena Under the superv1s1or1 of Mr Stuart, the Student Councrl has completed a very successful year Many problems have come up and they have been dealt wrth properly Under thxs student govemment, the students have a chance to express therr ldeas and op1n1ons through the councrl I'1...I,.TC.L..'.l ' ' ' r ' r rg' A .
