I speak for all of the professional and support staff in wishing you success and happiness in the years ahead. Education today for every qualified American citizen is not a luxury, but a necessity. The years you have spent on this campus should have afforded you insight into many new and useful values. Economic success can come through a college education, and I am sure that financial reward will be a by-product of your years here. The goal of your College, however, is, and always will be, to help you search out self-realization and self-fulfillment. The outcome of your time spent on this campus should result in a life rich in meaning and interest, rich in knowledge and wisdom, rich in service to people; in total, a more complete life in QN T)j aspect. Education and Cape Cod Community College can help you reach these goals, but each of you must desire them for yourself and each of you must be willing to sacrifice to achieve them. You have brought honor to your College on your graduation. My sincerest best wishes for success go with each of you in the Class of 1984. June 5, 1984 James F. It ' s been nearly a decade since a yearbook was last published at the college and to me that represents almost ten years of history that is, for all practical purposes, lost forever. Throughout the course of development of this book it has received support from all quarters. There are however certain people that I would like to thank for their significant contributions to making this project a reality. First and foremost, I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to Dr. James Hall the President of the College. Dr. Hall en- thusiastically supported this venture from its inception. He provided the leadership to guide the book through its tur- bulent beginnings and has maintained interest throughout. Without President Hall ' s wholehearted support this yearbook would still be only a dream. Next I would like to thank Dick Merrill and the entire Student Senate. Dick was instrumental not only in getting this project off the ground but in rounding up support when it was most needed. The Senate was a tremendous help in that they backed the yearbook with confidence as well as the much needed capital that they allocated. I would also like to thank Rick Nastri and Nancy Johngren. Both were vitally important in not only advising the year- book but also in keeping the Editor from a nervous breakdown with their humor and infinite wisdom. Foreseer staff members, John Schmidt, Marshall Myers, and Shawn Phillips were the backbone of the staff, and should be congratulated for their significant contributions to this yearbook. Also Dave Schultz should be commended for the fine cover he designed for this yearbook, Marshall Myers again for his color photography, Steve Henson for photography on the End pages and student section, Carol Smith for photography in the Halloween spread, Jean Gottwald for coor- dinating the Nursing Section, Pat Austin, Barb Swimm, Bobby Kelly, Doris Bates, and John Keefe for the priceless logistical support they gave, and Jeanettfe Curtis for not only coordinating the Dental Hygiene section but also for being extraordinarily tolerant with me. Further, I would like to thank Conrad Schmidt and Taylor Publishing. Conrad expertly provided the technical advice that was so badly needed, and was indeed the catalyst to the successful completion of this book. Taylor Publishing should certainly consider themselves fortunate to be so well represented. Finally, I would like to thank the entire student body, the faculty, the staff, and the administration of the college for their support in this venture. It has certainly proven to be an enlightening experience for me and I only hope that others will learn from it as well. Thank You and Good Luck, Michael G.
