What Can I Get Out Of College This is a question each of us should have asked ourselves throughout the past few years. Now, as we graduate, we must make the final appraisal. What did we get out of college? Our answer reflects on our education, but most of all it re- flects upon ourselves. Anxious to be part of the adult world and yet afraid to step from the security of youth, we all go through stages of over-confidence and self-consciousness. As uncomfortable as they seem, how very important these phases are to event- ual maturity. By daring to do the things we are forbidden to do, by trying and testing and seeking our own answers, we become individuals, alike only in the sense of a common goal - Adulthood. At the same time our awkward experiences with those around us force us to take a better look at ourselves - at who we are. How many times do we stop and ask, Why am I here? or What do I really feel about this or that? or Where am I going? If we can be summed up as possessing one general quality, it would be the continuous exploration of the life in and around us. If we can be summed up as having one desire, it would be to become part of that life.
