For we hope this commencement will inspire you to further endeavors, either in formal or informal education. Our best wishes for success and happiness during the years ahead go with you. JOHN L. ROCHE A.B., M.ED. DEAN OF STUDENTS To the Class of 1970: To graduate is in itself significant but to do so at the beginning of a new decade adds a different dimension. This should be especially true in the ' 70s since it appears that it will be a decade of change. We must all be prepared for change. Since the status quo is virtually denied by the concept of graduating, we must accept the true meaning inherent in graduation which is to begin anew. Obviously to begin anew is to change ! As most of you know, I am also in the process of beginning anew. This change for me is not only going to be a challenge but indeed I expect it to be a source of great excitement. It is with that in mind that I take the liberty to extend to both of us, you the Class of 1970 and myself, every success! My thanks to you and to all the preceding graduating classes of Cape Cod Community College for allowing me the privilege of working with you as Dean of Students. I can only hope that our efforts have been of some value to you.
