RQ DIVISICJN RO means repair quality. Our division is made up of three different work centersg the Nondestructive Testing Lab which does material and welding inspections, the Quality Assurance Office which conducts audits on repair shops, screens controlled work procedures, and conducts OA training for the rest of the ship, and the Chemical Analysis Lab which does material identification, metallographic testing and also tests shipboard lagging forthe presence of asbestos. Our mission in RQ division is to ensure that critical ship's systems are repaired properly to reduce the chance of personnel injury and to keep our customer ships combat ready.
