in ll i The Valve Shop has twenty six assigned machinist mates and machinery repairmen who are technical experts in repairing gate, globe, safety, relief and regulating valves with main steam and auxiliary high pressure steam valves being their specialty. Under the superb leadership of Machinist Mate Chief Delossantos and Machinist Mate g g g Chief Marcinowski, the valve shop . completed over two hundred thirty work MM2 C3Yan3n MM3 Coles requests while anchored at Al Masirah, MM1 COVPUZ Oman. Many of these requests contained multiple valves that required the skillful manufacture of intricate internal stems, seats and disks. The valve shop met each and every challenge with true Cape Cod professionalism and set the standard for other valve repair facililties throughout the Fleet. Through the words WE CAN FIX IT, the Valve Shop has earned the respect and admiration of all tended ships while I deployed in the Indian Ocean. Even though the Engraving Shop has only six personnel assigned they completed over two hundred and twenty seven jobs while deployed at Al Masirah, Oman. Many of these jobs consisted of over two hundred individual items on each work request.
