THE ARROW Published by the Junior-Senior Classes of Cape Charles High School 1962-63 Vol. XXYI CONTENTS ANNUAL STAFF DEDICATION ADMINISTRATION SENIORS JUNIORS SOPHOMORES FRESHMEN JUNIOR HIGH ACTIVITIES ATHLETICS ELEMENTARY ADVERTISERS ANNUAL STAFF Editorial Staff Business and advertising Photographers School Pictures, Art, and Grades Mr. McHan Features and Clubs Sports DEDICATION For her encouragement, her hard work, and her unselfish devotion, we, the annual staff, dedicate the 1963 ARROW to Miss Elizabeth A. Nye. SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS This year we have several improvements in our school -- new desks and tile floors in many rooms, new windows on the west side of the building, showers, and new steps. We welcome these changes for our safety, comfort, and convenience. Superintendent’s Message In the years ahead your Yearbook will bring you pleasure and grat- ification. As you refer to it, you will know that you were privileged to be a part of America’s free school system. With the maturing years, you will realize that so few of the earth’s people have had this privilege. In congratulating you on your achievements, may I also suggest that you accept the responsibilities inherently imposed upon you as an American citizen. Be prepared to do a job well, to accept your share in the management of a good home, to rely upon the sustenance that comes from regular worship, and to strive for maintaining sound gov- ernment. Principal’s Message Dear Students: As we approach the end of another school year, and the end of my first year as principal, I would like to congratulate all of you on your enthusiastic school spirit, your reliability and trustworthiness. This has been a good year for our school, and I hope each one of you has accomplished even more than you had desired. To those re- turning I sincerely wish you to do as well or better next year. To the Seniors - my sincere congratulations and may you find success in your future endeavors. May this annual bring you many pleasant memories of events which have occurred during the school year. To the Annual Staff and Mrs. Addison go my congratulations on a job well done. CoaJl R. MR. KANE MRS. RUSSELL MISS SPADY MRS. AMES MRS. VICK MRS. ADDISON OUR FACULTY MISS CLORE MRS. OUTTEN MRS.
