Here we are, thirty-four of us, in THE THIRD GRADE. Our road of learning began when Miss Rebecca Scott gave 31 of us a fine boost in the first grade followed by Miss Ellen Parsons in the second grade. Miss Latimer tried to impress us with the beauty of art in the third grade. In the fourth grade Miss Clore worked a few kinks out of us. The next year Mrs. Powell really worked us hard making maps for geography. In the sixth grade, we enjoyed pictures and stories about Mexico from Mrs. Trower. Miss Nye gave us our first exams in the seventh grade. WOW! We also presented the play RASPBERRY RED, at the close of the year. While in the eighth grade we took an unforgettable trip to Washington, D.C. Mr. Kane and Miss Tate were sponsors in the eighth and ninth grades. As sophomores Mrs. Russell took us to Norfolk to visit the museum and park. We also decorated for the High School Prom. As juniors we gave the banquet for the seniors. And now we aie seniors. We have had a full and rich schedule all through our school years - working hard and playing hard - gaining and losing mem- bers of our class. In our present class of 14, 10 of us were in the first grade together. Joyce Smith joined our class, coming from Norfolk; and Jerry Joyce waited for us a year. We have gained much from each other's vari- ous experiences. And now we are about to graduate, and go our separate ways - THE SENIORS OF '60.
