LAST HILL ANII TESTAMENT We, the Seniors of Cape Charles High School, wish to leave a memory of our past with the underclassmen. We have spent twelve years in this school and have crowded into them happy and wonderful experiences. In 1945 we entered the first grade with 27 mem- bers and when we began high school there were 20 of us. We have spent 4 years working and playing together. Today there are only 10 of us left and of these ten there are only 6 who entered the first grade together. Now we are ready to go our separate ways into the world, hoping to be successful citizens of America. WE, THE SENIOR CLASS OF 1957, being in as good a mental condition as usual, and being thoroughly drilled in English, history, and math, do hereby make this our last will and testament, to be executed in the following order: ARTICLE I. TO THE FACULTY ITEM 1 - To our principals, past teachers, and fellow students, we leave our gratitude for their helpful understanding. ARTICLE II TO THE CLASSES ITEM 1 - To the Juniors we give the thrill of being Seniors. ITEM 2 - To the Sophomores we leave more girls to show up the boys. ITEM 3 - To the Freshmen we leave our most sincere wishes for a good high school career. ARTICLE III. TO THE INDIVIDUALS ITEM 1 - Ellen Bradford - Leaves her ability to drive a car to Bonnie Colona. ITEM 2 - Johnny Colona - Leaves his convertible to anyone who likes fresh air. ITEM 3 - Margaret Groppenbacher - Leaves her well kept book on How to Do Trig in English IV” to Nancy Suderno. ITEM 4 - Teddy Phillips - Leaves all he can’t take with him. ITEM 5 - Ann Morabito - Leaves her well kept set of books to anyone crazy enough to keep them. ITEM 6 - Frank Fitzhugh - Leaves his ability to crack jokes to “Wobbles.” ITEM 7 - Diane Lewis - Leaves her ability to get the most out of a pencil to anyone who enjoys stealing them as she does. ITEM 8 - Gordon Rippon - Leaves his ability to hook school during hunting season to Jimmy Pruitt. ITEM 9 - Jack Lovelace - Leaves his ability to attract the Franktown girls to Arnold Hudgins. ITEM 10 - Betty Bender - Leaves to all her teachers her sense of humor without which she would have found school painful indeed.
