SECOND ROW - Chilcote Ames, John Lee Harmon, Jimmy Harrison, Davie Lankford, Jimmy Lutsinger, Bobby Linton, Jack Riley, Jessie Scott. THIRD ROW - Patricia Barbari, Gretchen Lewis, Alma Dunton, Shirley Ball, Aileen Parks, Ann Webster, Mrs. Vick, Ann Spady. FOURTH ROW - Jackie Powell, Jim Moore, Duke Johnson, Francis Grimmer, Norman Shaw, Paul Woerner. We looked like this just before we entered high school. (May that never be said of any- one else.) We were young, foolish, inexperienced, and ignorant of the high school way of life. Now we have increased in statue and wisdom (?) and have made many mistakes. We leave the following advice in hopes that ip the years to come it may never be said that a class was as dumb or dumber than that of '52. 1. Never question your teachers with hard problems which they cannot answer, for you are likely to see the results on your report. 2. But ask easy questions and you'll be pleasing in their sight and given the benefit of doubt on the exam. 3. Do not criticize the teachings of your educators in the class-room or in the halls because many words leak through transoms and half-closed doors. 4. Choose a good signature (i.e., Albert Einstien) for a good name rather to be desired than great riches. 5. Never add things in class which are not in your textbooks because your teachers know that there is no new thing under the sun. 6. Do no curse OUR SCHOOL in your thoughts and do not curse the faculty in your bedroom, for a bird of the air shall carry the word and tell the matter. Dear Cousin Zeke, June 28, 1962 How is your rhumatiz these June days? My saitichy seems to increase with my age. Speaking of age, just 10 years ago we were back in high school. Dear old school days I One day several weeks ago I was wondering what had become of the Class of •52 of C.C.H.S. That very afternoon I received an invitation to ALMA DUNTON'S wedding to John P. Rockerfellow. The reception was al- most like a class reunion. Everyone in the class was there. ANN SPADDY and ESTHER STEVENSON (both married) sang I Wish I r was Single Again during the ceremony and it was beautiful. It sounded as if they - really meant it. Ann is teaching the 3rd grade in a Richmond school and Esther is CCon X-Ray Technician at Johns Hopkins. Mayor FRANCIS GRIMMER of Cape Charles was there escorting his secretary, SHIRLEY BALL. DUKE JOHNSON, the Chief of Police, was showing off his new uniform and the new Buick police wagon. AILEEN PARKS, who opens at the Met. in September, has just returned from a European tour. She was wearing a beautiful gown designed by D. Lank Ford of Paris and Rome. You'll remember h imas DAVID LANKFORD. Heused to draw airplanes all the time. Doctor ANN WEBSTER (M.D.) operates a clinic in San Francisco and ELIZABETH PARKS, a graduate nurse, is her head assistant. Lasttime I saw Eliza- beth she was married and had 6 children. JESSIE SCOTT is now Woman's Athletic Director here at CapeCharles. Her fine basketball team was underfeated last winter. They are putting the new gym to good use. BECKY RICHARDSON is working in the bank now. (I never cared much for money. Just something to carry in your pocket.) m W‘ BETTY BELL a Conover model, told us that she had been offered a screen test but instead, she went into television. She has her own show called Let's Beautify with Betty. DR. ALICE TROWER (Ph. D.) is president of Harvard now and Dr.GRET- CHEN LEWIS (also Ph. D.) is head of the Mathematics Department of Oxford. (She is one of the most noted photographers in England, too.) Oh, yes, I almost forgot. Rev. JOHN (AMOS) DICKINSON per- formed the ceremony and MARY LINDA FITCHETT played the weddi ng music. Mary Linda is teaching Bible at Westhampton. The class has gone in all directions, but all for the good, I hope. Your loving cousin. £]Ji5 pAIAT Ellie Font o toe laXe To lea.ve? ref But uu)!f cue l t you 'f o r ? s. t us ??
