THE CAPACIAN CAP AC COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL Capac, Michigan VICKI MI2DRAK, Editor . THE KEY TO SUCCESS IS EDUCATION The Key To Success Is Education. Through education, one can advance to the goal he desires in life. The youth of today will not succeed in the future without, at least, a high school education. However, there is more to an education than what can be learned in books, for if one were to read every book written, one’s life would not necessarily be a success. The key to learning is how to co-operate with others. By participating i n clubs, sports, and other student activities, leadership and citizenship are developed. Students learn how to manage others and work together. In Capac High School, the key to success can be found by any student who is willing to seek it. In this, the 1964 - ’65 Capacian, are the youth growing and de- veloping into the citizens of tomorrow guided by the administration and faculty. The eighth grade took part in the Christ- mas Program with a skit, Christmas at the Addam ' s Family. Our float for the Homecoming parade consisted of a huge pumpkin with the opposing team in the center. Everyone enjoyed taking part in this event. Our Mardigras, which was a second semester activity, was a successful one. Every member of the class was to dress up and take part. Towards the end of the year, we took a trip to the Longway Planitarium in Flint and to Greenfield Village. As you can see, we had a busy year, and we hope to look forward to a better one. 44 THIS PAGE SPONSORED BY HENDERSON ' S WHITE ROSE SERVICE Janice Abshier Kim Ailor Christine Albert Terry Allen Jacquelyn Anspaugh Beatrice Bautista Ronald Behnke Mike Berlinger Robert Blumerick Darlene Brennan Cheryl Brinker Jim Brown Mike Brunelle Sharon Bugajski Kenny Bullock Ronald Burgess Leonard Cascadden JoAnn Carroll Pilar Casteneda Annabelle Christie Cathy Clark John Conrad Frances Cornell Ronald Coultes Tom Ellis Sharon Engel Juan Epinoza Sally Feldhus Steven Glombowski Jessie Gomez Donald Gray Randall Gray Marilyn Greenia Thomas Gomez Rita Helzer Marc Henderson Marcia Henderson Darlene Hill Debbie Hill Lynn Holcomb Charlotte Hulett Douglas Hunter THIS PAGE SPONSORED BY JOLLY JIM S MARKET 45 Diane Jackson Douglas Jurn Tim Kahn James Kegler Alice Kinzer Steven Kinzer William Kluger Marianne Knibbe Allan Korth Garry Kuck Linda Langhoff Mike Lietz Earl Mclver William Malloy Raymond Miles Dan Morawski David Morawski Jim Murphy Bruce Neuman Joe Niezgoda Jane Nino Christine O ' Connor Anita Pheil Mary Ellen Raska Carl Reiche Terry Revitzer Linda Rhody Mary Jane Rhody Bradley Robinson Charlene Rodzoz Faith Romska Richard Schavillie Susan Scheuer Denise Schultz Jimmy Seidell Vickie Seward Sandra Shannon Brian Shull Roger Silverthorn Christine Sivec Gary Smith Gwyn Smith 46 THIS PAGE SPONSORED BY DR. As a Foreign Exchange Student As a Foreign Exchange Student, I was asked again and again what I though about things in America. I now want to answer some of the most significant questions. What do I think about school in America? The American school system educates the students to very democratic thinking citizens. I learned in my one year at Capac High School, how well applied democracy works; this was something I did not realize before. Do I like the students and the teachers at Capac High? The students at Capac High were all really nice kids. They always kept me busy, and we had a lot of fun. About the teachers, l can say that I liked them all really well. I really liked the school spirit of Capac, for example, the attitude the stu- dents have towards their work and their school. During my year at Capac, my main experience was that you can do everything in a different way, and it works just as well. I don’t think I will every forget this one year at Capac. Capac has now become a part of my life, and I thank the Capac School and Community for letting me be a part of it for one year. 52 YEARBOOK STAFF SEATED: Gerald Dafoe, Photographer; Karlene Graybiel Assist. The FutureNur ses U — Club is an organization for the purpose of helping girls W decide whether they want to be a nurse. Each mem- ber must work twenty-four hours. We work at Yale Community Hospital, Goodells Medical Center, Operation Sugar Cube, Health Clinic, or any other special medical operation in our community. We have our meetings every second and fourth Wednesday night of the month. At our meetings we have speakers, demonstrations, as making a hospital bed, and many other educational activities for our new and old members. For a field trip, we went to Henry Ford Hospital.
