Your life is made up, not of great sacrifices or duties, but of little things, in which smiles, and kindnesses, and small obligations, done by habit, are what win and preserve the heart and secure comfort. You write your name in kindness, love, and mercy on the hearts of the many you come in contact with day by day, and you will never be forgotten. Your name and your good deeds will shine as the stars in heaven. Sir H. Stan fey S liompAon P rincipa f It is difficult for me to believe that two years have passed since I came to Capac High. To me, they have been two of the happiest years of my life. Yes, we ' ve had our trials, we ' ve made some friends and some enemies too. I think we all can look back over the years spent here and feel the pleasant glow of good memories. What makes a good school? I ' m sure you will agree that it takes a lot more than the man in the office. It begins with the students themselves, spreads to the teachers and finally the little that is left over might get back to that man behind the desk . I know the seniors join with me in wishing every success to those who will follow us in their climb through the grades to the graduation platform. Again my thanks to everyone who has helped to make my stay here such a pleasant one. 4 RUTH ROLLO Secretary to The Superintendent This page sponsored by BARNARD ' S FUNERAL HOME MARY CAMPBELL Secretary to The Principal ROBERT AMES World American History, Natural Science. The summer was spent preparing for seven parades and putting on the Chicken Bar-B-Que. The fall was occupied in preparation for eight marching events and shows. The precision marching this fall was something new and well received. High lights of the fall was a trip to Anchor Bay and Port Huron as guest band of the Port Huron Raiders, a professional football team. Concert season started the second week in November. Marcia Leslie, Flute and Albert Schook, French Horn were selected by the Officer of District III M.S.B.O.A. to play in the Clinic Band at Fenton, under the direction of Dr. William D. Revelli from the U . of M . Our first Christmas Concert was Dec. 22 and our annual Mid-Winter Concert was on Feb. 5. This year, for the first time, Capac was represented at the District III Solo and Ensemble Festival. From the Junior Band, Robert Brennan played a Cornet solo and a Flute Quartet consisted of Christine Nowak, Barbara Gottschalk, Robin Bishop, and Sharon Zwiernik. Both events received a second division rating. A Flute trio consisting of Marcia Leslie, Margaret Ogden, and Kathy James represented the Senior Band and received a first division rating, and participated in the State Solo and Ensemble Festival. Both Bands entered the Dist. Ill M.S.B.O.A. Festival and the Blue Water Festival.
