It is not always easy to impress young people with the idea that the era of their school days is a golden one. It is only with the passing years that the full realization of this fact will become evident. However, as teachers, we would not be doing our best if we failed to point out that ed- ucation will benefit each of us as individuals as well as the nation and the world. As we enter this age of automaton the importance of the educational foundation will become more and more apparent. It is even now almost essential that every citizen understand modern technology, not just in the factory, but in the home and on the farm as well. The task of securing an adequate education is not an easy one, as some would have you believe; nor should it be. It is my belief that each of you will benefit from your school career almost in the same proportion as the effort you put into it. No one can, or should, do it for you, but all of us will be most happy if we can help along the way. We wish to express our appreciation and affection to Ruth Rollo, our school secretary. For seven years Ruth has served as a patient, wise, practical and friendly secretary. She has been faithful in helping with class records, training class treasurers and giving first aid, besides her many duties as secretary to the Superintendent .
