CI-IS Enjoys American Graffiti Day Ponytails, slicked-down hair, rolled up levis, white bobby socks and skinny ties depicted the CHS student body on American Graffiti Day. Students changed classes to the tunes of Bill Haley and the Comets and Chantilly Lace. A bop session was held in the Commons at lunch. Students enjoyed this special day best of all the Homecoming Week activities. David Coronado displays his jive-y-ness in choir. Homecoming 1 974 Homecoming festivities began with a Junior Varsity football victory over Dumas, followed by the traditional bonfire. The Homecoming Queen candidates and their escorts were pres- ented during a Homecoming assembly on Fri- day, October 11. Recognition was given to the oldest ex and the ex who had traveled the farthest. In the football game that succeeded the crowning of Tanya Kent as Homecoming Queen, the Canyon Eagles were overwhelmed by their AAAA opponent, Palo Duro High School, 42-14. Keith Laycock.
