When the homework was fmlshed and there was nothing left to do at lunch tlme, stu dents often occupied themselves by observ mg other students The ones that were bemg watched were usually dolng such lnterestmg things as reading, eating, yelling, or just bemg themselves Comanche students were known for making good use of theur tnme In most cases, time was needed for long conversations with IBIEIQU and occasionally, for some extra studying On the other hand Canyon students never seemed to have enough time for walkmg to class In the crowded hallways Canyon Hugh has been experlencmg the effects of popu lation growth and urban spread Some stu dents brushed the problem off wnth com ments luke, ' I enjoy togetherness, or I dldn t know walkmg had become a contact sport but some adjustments have been made For example, more cement walkways have been added to the campus to accommodate the tremendous flow of bodles at Canyon In the terlallze ln order to disperse lunch time crowds People are needed to create such programs, and that IS what Canyon has In abundance Hopefully these problems will soon be resolved In order to make campus life at Canyon more enjoyable 1 Kurt Popke smiles as he enjoys a lunch tlme conversa tton with fnends 2 Brddung adleu to one of his many companions IS semor Gary Walker 3 Yes even parts of a legend can be modermzed 4 A long Ilne of fnends gath ers to perform a can can at a dance nn the cafeteria 5 Passersby catch a glimpse of inseparable buddies Caprice LePante and Klm Myers 6 Reading comfortably Sylvsa Pearson Influences Ed Cogm to grab a book from hls locker I ' I ' ll ll ' I ' ll I years to come, a split-lunch program may ma- : , 1 . 7
