The Team members wenT Through hours oT vigorous Training and condiTioning so Their vicTories were well earned. As one oT The Team members said, Even Though we did noT have a'loT oT supporTers, we had a sTrong Team ThaT was very close and we proved ThaT we were The besT. AnoTher player replied, OTher Than a good Team we had a coach who was like a person's besT Triend. He was always There when we needed him. When Murray Hicks was asked, WhaT made you ioinf7 l-le replied, IT was The only game ThaT l was able To Slam Dunk in. The BaskeTball Team agreed: Even Though iT Took hours oT hard work, anyone Thaf had The inTeresT in BaskeTball was encouraged To join, and anyone who enioyed The game was always welcome To come and supporT The Team. Brain Dalke sTarTs oTT The SanTa Cruz game wiTh a TanTasTic play, Rod Anderson scores The winning poinT, which allows Tor a big CDO VarsiTy VicTory. XS' The Final ShoT, Une QT VicTory he Canyon Del Oro Junior VarsiTy and Freshman BaskeT- ball Teams were highly spiriTed wiTh Tans cheering on Their vicTories. These Teams puT in many hours oT pracTice and received much exTensive Training and pracTice. All oT The guys agreed ThaT Mr. Domzalski, The Treshman coach, and Mr. Huff, The iunior varsiTy coach, did an excellenT iob aT preparing The TuTure- varsiTy baskeTball Teams. Mike WiTTman, a J.V. player, said he liked The game of baskeTball because IT was an up and down game. The Teams agreed ThaT The TuTure VarsiTy baskeT- ball Teams had high poTenTial in The Tield oT winning. AnoTher player said, The games and pracTices were Tun and we all had a good Time, no maTTer if we won or losT. All in all The iunior var- siTy and Treshman Teams had a preTTy good season, in which The players were prepared Tor The TuTure years on The varsiTy Teams. As The game wenT on, MaTT Paschal shoT a baskeT Tor a Canyon Del Oro vicTory. IT was an imporTanT shoT which was made by CDO player ScoTT Dan- iels. The CDO Team had a Tough Time while playing againsT Marana. CDO's players Mike WhiH'man and Graig Vesling line up Tor a rebound shoT againsT SanTa Cruz.
