uanities, Numbers and Symbols Because the world has reached the age of compu- terization, a new Computer ll class was offered in addition to the Computer I classes introduced in the past year. Because it interfered with the calculus classes the Computer ll course will be offered sec- ond semester in the following year. Three new teachers were added to the staff. Pat Wentworth taught freshman math and geometry I. Mr. Ford taught for a semester at C.D.O. last yearg he taught freshman math, Algebra and geometry. Mr. Huff came from Cross Junior High School and taught freshman math, geometry I and Algebra. . In the beginning of the year, the freshman took a math placement test to determine whether they could get into Algebra I. They had to score 602 or better on the placement test. lf you failed there was a general math course, where the students were allowed to pace themselves according to their own ability.
