Juniors Slip Past Seniors December 13, 1976 was the traditional iunior versus the seniors Powder Puff football game. Thirteen may be an unlucky number but not for the Canyon iuniors. ln order to break a twelve all tie at the end of regulation play, a sudden death overtime was required. Each team ran four plays, and the team that covered the most yards would win the game. The iuniors emerged victori- ous. Kathy Bucher and Tami Young scored the two iunior class touch- downs while Angie Bitgood and Deana McClure scored for the Seniors. After a-lot of hard work and practice after school and at nights under the lights or. the football field, it all went to show who practiced the hardest. lt was the first time in C.D.O.'s his- tory the senior class was defeated by the junior class.
