Pinnin Down the Title Canyon del Oro's Varsity Wrestlers, who were last year's AA State Champions, began this year with hope and a few prob- lems. The grapplers main problem of the season was the loss of four starters due to iniuries. The Grapplers took second at the Canyon del Oro Invitational, third at Flowing Wells, and fourth at Chaparral, in which Canyon was the only AA team invited. The individuals who brought the team together were seniors Clayton Martin at 98 pounds, John Christiani at 138, Pete Gan- non at l95, and Brian Biesmeyer at 167. This year's goal was the same as last year's, to become Divisional and AA State Champions. Grappling to Victor With Brad Kohl, Tom Furrier, Jeff Volk, and Tom Martin leading The Freshman Wrestlers compiled a record of eight wins and the way, the Junior Varsity Wrestling team amassed a record of two losses, and placed second in the conference.
