The Dramatic Experience .K .. . .s S CHS THESPIANS - iKneelingl Laura Alderete, Bobbie Ornelasg lSittingl Andy Enriquez, Richard Smith, Laura Trujillo, Marcelina Ayala, Sandra Mejia, Michele Jordan, Susan Yglesias, Dora Salas, and Melissa Leos, iStandingJ Rene Montes, Beto Enriquez, Joe Zavala, and Dennis Pussman. The Drama Club was headed by Mrs. Winifred Cowley who joined the CHS fac- ulty staff this year. Under her directorship, the club per- formed two plays for the school as well as for the community. They were 'A Charley Brown Christmas Play' and 'I Never Saw Another Butterfly'. The latter play was entered in UIL competition. Club members also participated in a speech tournament in Las Cruces and in Clint. The club's executive committee con- sisted of Marcelina Ayala, Michele Jordan, Rosa Acosta, Richard Smith, and Dennis Pussman. ill Long hours of rehearsals paid off for Dennis Puss- man and Laura Alderete, whos are shown reading 1 their lines for the play, 'I Never Saw Another But- terfly.'
