I T A . f K., 1 VOCCT lvocational Office Careers Clubs of Texasl is the state organization of by and for students enrolled in office training blen ding intensive ofice skulls and academic training in a simulated business atmosphere with emphasis on reprographic processes in of fice machinery The main purpose of the club is to provide oppor tunities for students to develop their leadership abilities and citizen ship Programs were developed to give its members a chance to take part in educational community school social recreational and vocational activities VOCCT began early in the year to train and plan for their State Leadership Conference Competitions in Dallas Texas on March 10 11. With their own printing press they designed printed and sold a CHS Eagles Activities Calendar. A caricature of an eagle was depicted throughout highlighting many of the school s departments. Other worthy fund raising activities involved selling candies, snazzy pads, Val-O-Grams, and sponsoring a facultylstudent softball game. They didn't get rich, but they made enough to take several members to competition, spent time in Six Flags, several skating outings, a catered swim party, a trip to the health spa, and several field trips to local business establishments.
