Mr. Barcena - Health Best years of our lives. I only wish students would real- ize this. Mr. Stevens - D.E.C.A. Secondary Education means that the students should learn to stkcessfully affect their personal future. A hope that have of those who come in contact with we will have meaningful experiences that will gear them to the level of understanding of the majority of our society. Mr. Heavens - Math Secondary Education is a necessary part of a larger pro- gram designed to prepare our society to meet the challenges and responsibilites of adult- hood. Our society is so com- plex that an elementary school education is not ade- quate to prepare the future generations to satisfactorily deal with the challenging cir- cumstances which are surely to come. On the other hand, the colleges and universities are not geared to the level of understanding of the greater majority of our society. Con- sequently, the secondary edu- cation level is our best solu- tion at the present time to develop the greater majority of our society to the point where people can adequately function and acquire prerequi- sites for almost unlimited suc- cess.

at Mrs. Dozier - Business As a student in high school, Secondary Education was very very important to me. After being drilled daily by my par- ents, Young lady, if you don't get a high school educa- tion you aren't going to make it in life. I could invision all kinds of unpleasant things happening to me. From their teaching and preaching, I soon realized that secondary education is the key to bright horizons. It meant that I could go on to college, have a career in business, become a nurse, doctor, lawyer or etc. . . . The choice was mine. But without a secondary edu- cation I would not have a choice. I would have to take whatever came along in the line of work to survive. Oh, yes, secondary education to me means a BRIGHT HORI- ZON, and I thank God for all of those who had an influential part in my life. , ,, ,,,.,a-v-v 'N K Q X - S tt 1 Mr. Phillips - Science Secondary Education means getting ready spiritually, mentally, physically and psy- chologically for later life.
