Mr. McMahan - Math Secondary Education is a preparation for the future . 1 W :Q K . W--fluff' Mrs. Miller - Home Ec. Secondary Education to me means that the students should learn to function in our society after graduation. This should include every facet in life, everywhere from becoming a successful person in a personal and social sense to becoming a successful employee in the working world. Each student should make every effort to utilize his or her education to learn attitudes, skills, and techniques of becoming a suc- cessful member of society. . Mr. Salazar - Asst. Principal Secondary Education is a preparation for a better adult life, not only in terms of financial or academic success but also in terms of being able to cope with problems that arise once a person graduates from high school.

Mrs. Weems - Home Ec. Secondary Education is a futhering of basic education already aquired and an exploring of new fields to find our interests. It should edu- cate in a knowledge as well as allow us to explore our likes and dislikes. Secondary edu- cation should help me cope with immediate situations and yet show a plan and valuable use for our further adulthood. It should be presented in such a manner that those involved will become active partici- pants in developing a skill or knowledge not captive laws. Mr. Perkins - English Secondary Education is the time frame in which a young person matures and realizes his attributes as well as his or her shortcomings. at Mrs. Dozier - Business As a student in high school, Secondary Education was very very important to me. After being drilled daily by my par- ents, Young lady, if you don't get a high school educa- tion you aren't going to make it in life. I could invision all kinds of unpleasant things happening to me. From their teaching and preaching, I soon realized that secondary education is the key to bright horizons. It meant that I could go on to college, have a career in business, become a nurse, doctor, lawyer or etc. . . . The choice was mine. But without a secondary edu- cation I would not have a choice. I would have to take whatever came along in the line of work to survive. Oh, yes, secondary education to me means a BRIGHT HORI- ZON, and I thank God for all of those who had an influential part in my life. , ,, ,,,.,a-v-v 'N K Q X - S tt 1 Mr. Phillips - Science Secondary Education means getting ready spiritually, mentally, physically and psy- chologically for later life. Aim Mrs. Collins - English Learning to get along in the world and gaining some useful skills.
