However, the team lost the playoff to determine fourth place to OFA, a team which the Bears had beaten twice during regular league play. The team was led in scoring by Captain Lee Cartmill who was named to the first team All-Northern at the season’s conclusion. Sorely missed next year will be graduating Seniors, Skip Bradley, Charlie Clark, Bob Murphy, Gary Guthrie, Mark Curry, Bob Locy, and John Gilbert. all-nortrrrn Lee Cartmill 71 VARiSfTV U'R£SrUN6 J.V. SW CLUB It has been said that skiing is one of the fastest growing sports in the country, and this can certainly be proven in our school. Every Saturday that the weather allowed there was a ski trip. There was always a bus full, and often two or as many as three. Most of the trips were to Tupper Lake, with one day at Whiteface. Meetings of the club were held after school with President Barbara Bowers in charge. Mr. Franklin sponsored every trip, often ac- companied by Mrs. Monroe and her husband, or Mr. Casey acting as chaperones. 6IRLS' athletic association The Girls Athletic Association is a selective group for girls of exceptional athletic abilities. Intra- murals give girls a chance to participate in competitive sports. They meet many afternoons after school and partake in a variety of sports. irUTRAMURALG LIBRARY CLUB YORKER, CLUB EDfTORJAL SIAFF REPORTERS WASH This year the Wash made great strides toward becoming a more sophisticated paper.
