The Bears took the measure of such teams as Potsdam, Lowville, and Gouverneur, while falling prey to Water town, Massena, and Gouverneur. The last match of the season was a thrilling 26-26 tie with Massena. Canton placed second in the Section 10 tournament, with Bob Davis, Don Shoulette, and Joe and Charlie Gratto winning sec- tional championships. The Bears will be hurt by the loss of seniors john Rich, Charlie Gratto, Art Ames, Howie Sanderson, and Bob Davis. Bu Coach Hayden should have little trouble building a good team with veterans Ioe Gratto, Don Shoulette, Francis Butler, Loren Aldrich, and Birks McCarty, and several talented members of our once-defeated J.
