Canton has won the cup in this Secretary-Treasurer Elsie Tupper contest for the past two years. The Masquers have had, for their ninth year. success. During the first term of school, three one-act plays were presented in a local contest. An Amateur Hamlet was proclaimed the winner over On Vengeance Height and Miss Nancy's Legacy. After its success in Canton, An Amateur Hamlet journeyed to Malone for the Northern New York League One-Act The annual three-act play, After Wimpole Street, was presented April 29. This romantic comedy drama was staged with the authentic costumes and properties of the mid-Victorian era. Although many of the Masquers are gradu- ating, we know there will be others who will carry on our torch in the field of drama. Elsie Tupper.
