The Student Council is a governing body made up of class and homeroom represent- atives from each grade of the high school. The Council has made great progress this year. Our biggest project is getting all the senior football, basketball, and baseball players a sweater. We raise our money by having bake sales, tag days, and dances. Some of the entertainment we sponsor for Canton High is twirp season, all-school dances once a month, the purchase of records, and the sponsoring of noon movies. The Council also feeds two of the visiting teams, together with the Canton teams, coaches, cheerleaders, scorekeepers, and tirnekeepers. They eat cafeteria style. The Canton High School Council is cooperative and hard working. Much credit should be given to this group under the direction of Mr. Holcomb. OFF IC ERS President . . . Winifred Machmer Vice President . . . Richard Powers Secretary . . . Dale Landon Treasurer . . . Helen Grace
