gF •l9!3PH|' B ■......Every year seniors get— ---------------------Fruitier-------------------- As the fruit piled higher and higher, the seniors ascended into citrus heaven. Beginning in the fall, the class co-adjoined for the annual fruit sale, which provided additional monies for their spring trip. The week of October 22 lent the class time to sell the promised victuals and produce a productive total of $2,200.00 worth of ambrosian orders. Hundreds of boxes and mesh sacks full of oranges, grapefruit, apples, pears and a few nuts arrived from Wetterau Foods of Mexico, Mo. The fruit decorated the old gym December 19, 20, and 21 while class officers and sponsors dished out appropriate orders for delivery. The distribution time was hectic as students excused from class loaded their vehicles and began the lengthy task of diminishing the mountains of fruit. Effortlessly positioning a box of grapefruit, Gail Hudnut makes room for more fruit. Team effort by Bruce Hoffman and Jennifer Ellison quickly fills an empty truck bed. Final “puzzle pieces” are arranged by Jennifer Ellison before she delivers the merchandise. Rushed Debi Harte temporarily deposits her belongings before scurrying to retrieve a vehicle. 28 Seniors

Exhausted from strenuous labor, Jennifer Ellison, Bruce Hoffman, Penny Otte and Kevin Dodd break before resuming their chore. Atlas-like Jerry Spurgeon experiences blocked vision after accepting just one more orange bag from Jim McCutchan. Cautious maneuvering prevents Julie Hinton from missing a step. Receipts are issued by Miss Kellermann to Jeff Van Tress and Tony Morrall prior to collecting their orders. Seniors 29
