Spirited Kim Lay hams it up with her date Jeff Tobin. A moment of reprieve provides adequate rest for Kellie Rich and Jane Moore. Youthful photos accenfHHMHi =Junior-Senior Prom Once again, the crusty Old Gym was amazingly transformed into a charming setting for the Junior-Senior Prom. Blue metalic streamers were draped to form a mock ceiling and masterful ingenuity created a cascading waterfall. The theme, “Through The Years”, was highlighted by a display of individual infant or toddler photographs of each senior class member. The pictures had been secretly enlarged, matted and strategically hung on the walls. These youthful images added a surprisingly delightful accent to the atmosphere. As always, the evening was a tremendous success. Prior to coronation, final instructions are given to Penny Otte, Mary Ann McDermott and fellow court candidates. Student Life 15

Roll up your sleave and say— --------------Ouch!-------------------- If E.T. were a CHS student, he would have busily healed sore arms with his magical touch. Much to the dismay of trembling students, ages six to 18, February hosted the annual immunization clinic sponsored by the Lewis County Health Department. State law requires each student be immunized for DPT, measles, rubella and mumps before he or she can legally attend school. Students may choose to be injected by a private physician, or with parent’s consent, receive shots during the clinic. A select few transcended this discomfort while others winced, contorted and reflected sheer pangs of anguish with each jab of the villainous hypo. Reactions varied as student bodies endured close encounters of a pointed kind. Mock grimaces by Chris Holmes and Matt Berry relieve tension for soon-to-be shot recipients Brenda Smith and Jane Moore. Squimish apprehension by Lisa Roach does not stop Doug Lillard from cheerfully receiving an injection. Aghast by the lengthy needle, Kevin Baker hesitantly prepares to undergo his immunization.
