The class raised a record amount of money through the traditional magazine sale in the fall to sponsor the BEST Junior Senior Banquet and Prom ever! The theme of the prom was “Colour My World.” Class rings were a big landmark for us that year.” “Slowly, but surely, it came to be our turn to be SENIORS! At last, it was OUR YEAR! It was a terriffic moment when we first came to school in August of 1978 as members of the Graduating Class (HOPEFULLY) of 1979. With being a senior came decisions. Class meetings were held early in the year to discuss ways to raise money for the traditional Senior Trip. The most successful projects turned out to be a car wash, the concession stands and the fruit sales. While money was coming in to the class treasury, our personal funds were rapidly diminished through the purchase of senior announcements, pictures, albums and outlay for the Senior Trip and our caps and gowns. We thought it would never end.” “Seniors were participators as we led the school in team sports, activities and classes.
